PQ-N12 series planetary ball mills may be used for mixing, homogenizing, fine grinding, mechanical alloying, cell disruption, small volume high-tech material production and even colloidal grinding. They are the ideal wet/dry milling tools for acquiring research samples with high efficiency and low noise. Vacuum jars may be used to process sample within a vacuum environment. PQ-N12 planetary ball mills have four grinding stations arranged on the "Sun Wheel" of the planetary ball mill. When the Sun Wheel rotates, the grinding balls inside the jars are subject to superimposed rotational movements, known as Coriolis Forces. The difference in speeds between the grinding balls and jars produce an interaction between frictional and impact forces, which release high dynamic energies. Minimum granularity of the final product can be as small as 0.1 micron. A timer controls running time from 1 to 999 minutes; it also controls jars' direction of rotation and intervals. We offer various sizes of grinding jars and grinding balls in different materials in our ball mill accessories section. Depending on your application, the material your grinding media is made from may be imperative to achieving accurate results. The new Ai SuperVac 11.3 cfm commercial grade vacuum pumps are now UL/CSA certified (115V model), this certification is required by many municipalities, and it also provides a higher standard of equipment safety and lifespan. They are also more powerful (1,100kW vs 750W) and corrosion resistant. These pumps are designed for reliable long time continuous operation, they will take your equipment's vacuum down to 0.3 micron in minutes. Comes standard with all necessary fittings and a high capacity exhaust oil mist filter which also returns trapped pump oil back to the pump and makes the pump quieter to run.
Multi-level gas ballast is designed to allow purposefully pull a less deep and slower vacuum by opening the gas ballast, allowing dry air to go directly into the pump and diluting the vacuum pull, and it also helps keep moisture, solvent, and other contaminants from getting stuck in the pump, and instead passing through to the exhaust.
It is important to note that pumps should always be ran in a well ventilated area.
