Advantec Qualitative Filter Papers are made of 100% cotton linter cellulose. Primarily used for clarifying and removing precipitates (ppt) and preparation for quantitative analysis. These papers can be used over a pH range from 0-12 and a maximum temperature of 120°C. Ash content of 0.1%. Papers have smooth surface, normal hardness (except Grade No. 101 have a creped surface). Grade No. 1 Retains coarse and gelatinous ppt with fast flow rate. Recommended for gas filtration, air pollution analysis, and general purpose. Nominal Retention: 6 µm. Grade No. 2 Retains medium crystalline ppt with high flow rate. General purpose filter. Nominal Retention: 5 µm. Grade No. 231 Retains crystalline ppt, moderate flow. Thin and slightly more retentive than No.1 general purpose paper. Nominal Retention: 5 µm. Grade No. 232 Collects medium to medium-fine ppt. Slow flow rate. Thin retentive paper. Nominal Retention: 3 µm. Grade No. 131 High retention efficiency for fine crystalline ppt like BaSO4. Slow flow. Higher wet strength and will withstand suction. Nominal Retention: 3 µm. Grade No. 235 Highest retention efficiency collecting very fine ppt. Very slow flow rate. Nominal Retention: 1 µm. Grade No. 101 Creped filter paper captures large particles. Fast flow rate. Excellent for seed germination and viscous fluids. Nominal Retention: 7 µm. Please Note: ALL Advantec items have a maximum 48 hour cancellation window. Any cancellations AFTER the 48 hour window will incur a restocking fee equal to the cost of the product.

3mm, 13mm, 17mm, 25mm, 30mm, 50mm 0.10µm to 5.0µm Minimal sample hold-up High purity, non-pigmented housing and no adhesives used Advantec MFS offers a broad selection of filter media in convenient disposable syringe filters and 50mm in-line filter units. The Acrylic(AC) and Polypropylene(PP) housing materials are high purity and pigment-free. Adhesives are not used so you can be assured filtrates will not be adulterated. Each unit is marked with identifying codes denoting pore size, membrane, and housing polymer. Polypropylene can be autoclaved, acrylic can not. For pre-sterilized units see our sterile listing. Dismic models have female luer-lock inlet and male luer slip outlet. Labodisc-50 models are in-line units with 7-13.5 mm hose barb inlet and outlet connections and an inlet vent. Cellulose Acetate (CA) - Very low protein binding suitable for protein and enzyme solutions. Low aqueous extractables(0.1wt%). Nitrate-free for ground-water samples. Clarify and filter sterilize biological fluids, including buffers and tissue culture solutions. Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE) - General purpose filtration of aqueous solutions, including clarifying and filter sterilizing biological fluids, buffers, and pharma applications. Offers protein binding. Provides high flow rates. Nylon (NY) - Low extractables, no wetting agents. Nylon offers broad chemical compatibility making it a good choice for HPLC sample prep. Clarify and sterilize aqueous and organic solvent solutions, including buffers and tissue culture solutions. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) - PTFE is inherently hydrophobic making this media ideal for air filtration and venting applications. Traps aqueous aerosols. Filter organic HPLC samples. PTFE-Hydrophilic - Filter aqueous solutions and organic solvents. This membrane is versatile and and compatible with solvent mixtures used in HPLC, eg. Acetonitrile/Water. PTFE-IC - Use for Ion Chromatography applications. Filter aqueous solutions and organic solvents. Offers the lowest extractables available. (units individually blister packed) Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) - General purpose filtration of aqueous solutions.Offers low extractables and good chemical compatibility. Filter biological samples and mild organic HPLC solutions. Exhibits low protein binding making it a good choice for protein recovery applications. Please Note: ALL Advantec items have a maximum 48 hour cancellation window. Any cancellations AFTER the 48 hour window will incur a restocking fee equal to the cost of the product.

Sterile Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE) Membrane Filters - White Available pore sizes: 0.20µm, 0.45µm, 0.65µm, 0.80µm, 1.0µm, 3.0µm Color: White Surface: Gridded or Plain, and with or without Hydrophobic Edge (HE) Packaging: Individually wrapped or multipack, and with or without absorbent pad. Pleated band for dispensers available. Mixed Cellulose Esters (MCE) membrane is a general purpose filter used in many applications for the microbiological examination of water, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food, and beverages and air monitoring. MCE membranes offer high recovery rates and superior flow rates. Advantec MCE membranes are high purity and Triton-free. Contrasting grid lines facilitate counting colonies and are tested to assure freedom from grid line inhibition. 3.1mm squares represent 1/100 of the filtration area of a 47mm diameter filter (9.6cm 2 ). Membranes are sterilized by ethylene oxide (EtO) gas and are available individually wrapped or in 10-pack envelopes. Membrane specifications and lot number are printed on clear cover of each filter. Advantec's continuous pleated band packaging is compatible with various membrane dispensers. Advantec membranes were developed and are manufactured to comply with the ASTM and the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater. Quality control tests are performed on each lot and QA Certificates are available. Please Note: ALL Advantec items have a maximum 48 hour cancellation window.
