Explosion-proof refrigerators are engineered to prevent triggering an explosion inside or outside the unit, and are suitable for use in Class I, Division I Group C and D hazardous environments. Units feature hard wired electrical connections to prevent sparking or accidental disconnection. Thermostat and compressor components are isolated within a vapor-proof enclosure. Flammable material storage refrigerators are designed for safe, cool storage of volatile materials, and are engineered with no internal electrical components which could trigger an explosion. Thermostats are located on the cabinet exterior. These upright refrigerators feature a single solid door and an enameled steel exterior. Explosion-proof models are supplied with copper evaporator coils for efficient thermal transfer, magnetic vinyl gaskets for a positive door seal, and four fixed interior shelves for a variety of storage options. Units feature manual defrost capabilities and CFC-free insulation and coolants. Explosion-proof refrigerators are designed to comply with NFPA70 and are CSA certified. Flammable materials storage refrigerators are designed to comply with NFPA99. All units are UL listed.
