The FlipMate 100 offers a quick and effective method of filtering up to 125mL of sample. The device accepts two threaded SC490 sample cups (cups are sold separately) - one containing the sample to be filtered and an empty cup to receive the filtrate. The assembly is then "flipped" over and vacuum is applied. The sample is pulled through the filter into the empty cup. The filtered sample can then be capped and stored for later analysis. FlipMate is available with a variety of filters installed.

Our unique filter design increases the effective filtration area by 31% over the leading brands of 25mm syringe filters. All our syringe filters are housed in inert polypropylene and are ultrasonically welded for a positive, particle-free seal.

Graphical LCD shows four operating modes continuous run, timed dispense, copy dispense, volume dispense. View pump performance continually. The FilterMate Filtration System provides a convenient and inexpensive method of filtration requiring no transfer steps. The FilterMate fits directly into the digestion vessel and is pushed through the liquid being filtered to the bottom of the cup with a detachable plunger. After filtration is complete, the plunger is removed and discarded while the filter assembly remains in the bottom of the cup. This arrangement does not interfere with storage or use of the vessel in an autosampler. FilterMates are available with different choices of filters for specific filtration needs. The FilterMate works like a French Coffee press. Simply bring your sample to volume in the SC475 cup, insert the filter down into the sample, and remove the detachable plunger. Sample is now ready for analysis or to be capped for storage. SC0401 is our standard 5µm PTFE-faced polypropylene filter. SC0401 has the highest dirt holding capacity and is suitable for most laboratory applications. The SC0407 is our 0.45µm PTFE membrane filter. SC0407 FilterMate utilizes a PTFE prefilter in addition to a 0.45µm final filter. This model is not recommended for particulate laden samples. For filtering small volumes of TCLP extract, we offer the SC0404 FilterMate with prewashed glass fiber filter material suitable for TCLP filtrations. The 0.7µm filter is acid washed per EPA Method 1311 and comes with a certificate of analysis.

Cartridges feature accurate flow rates and adjustable tubing retainers to hold tubing in place — for large cartridges, set tubing retainers to your tube size and you are ready to pump. On small cartridges, optimum retention is preset — simply load tubing and start pumping. Each cartridge accepts microbore and/or L/S® precision pump tubing, please refer to table below. All cartridges have adjustable occlusion which maintains a bi-directional flow variation of ±5%. Tighten occlusion for higher pressures, loosen for longer tubing life. Combine the input/output of two cartridges to reduce pulsation. Cartridges are constructed from polycarbonate and glass-filled nylon. Mix small and large cartridges on pump heads that accept both sizes; two small cartridges occupy the same space as one large cartridge.
