Broad chemical compatibility Negligible extractables Strong and heat resistant Nylon is a very strong, heat resistant membrane manufactured by impregnating a polyester web with the nylon polymer. Several uniques properties of Nylon make this polymer universally accepted in the laboratory. Nylon is inherently hydrophilic lending to negligible amounts of aqueous extractables. Nylon is compatible with a broad range of aqueous and alcoholic solutions and solvents that are frequently used in HPLC. No prewetting required. Nylon will bind proteins, DNA and RNA. Other applications include vacuum degassing, filter sterilize and clarify buffers and tissue culture solutions. Please Note: ALL Advantec items have a maximum 48 hour cancellation window. Any cancellations AFTER the 48 hour window will incur a restocking fee equal to the cost of the product.

MCE membranes offer high recovery rates and superior flow rates. Advantec MCE membranes are high purity and Triton-free. Black MCE filters are used to enumetate yeast and bacteria in carbonated beverages, wines, and water and provides a contrast between colonies and filter without the need for counterstaining. Green MCE filters offer a pale green background for viewing black, white, and colorless particles on one filter. Contrasting grid lines facilitate counting colonies and are tested to assure freedom from grid line inhibition. 3.1mm squares represent 1/100 of the filtration area of a 47mm diameter filter (9.6cm 2 ). MCE membranes are manufactured to comply with the ASTM and the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater.  Please Note: ALL Advantec items have a maximum 48 hour cancellation window. Supplier #: N05C18.5CM

Advantec MFS Part No. N05C18.5CM
Advantec Quantitative Ashless Filter Papers are made from the highest quality alpha cotton cellulose. One critical step in the manufacturing process of these filter papers is acid washing. All grades are double acid washed in hydrochloric then hydrofluoric acid to reduce levels of SiO2, CaO, and Fe2O3. Following the acid wash, all papers are rinsed in ultrapure water to neutralize. Grade No. 4A Hardened is further treated with nitric acid. Following the acid wash, all papers are rinsed in ultrapure water to neutralize. Ash Content: 0.01% (except Grade No. 4A is 0.025%). Grade No. 3 Medium retention, fast flow rate paper with good chemical resistance and wet strength. Recommended for analysis of soils, fertilizers, cement, and minerals. Nominal Retention: 5 µm. Grade No. 5A Retains coarse and gelatinous ppt with high flow rates. Filter hydroxides, metalic aerosols, environmetnal monitoring, and determine silica content in steel. Nominal Retention: 7 µm.
